Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a mechanism for taking off driving force, in which braking means are connected to respective output shafts and driving force is transmitted to a required outputs shaft by selectively actuating the braking means, whereby it is enabled to make the entire structure compact.
CONSTITUTION: Braking means 22, 24 are operatively connected to respective output shafts 16, 18. Friving force from power source 10 is transmitted via timing means 14 to case 26 of planetary gear unit 20. In this state, if output shaft 18 is locked by braking means 24, rotation of case 26 is transmitted to output shaft 16 at a speed ratio determined by the gear ratio of gears held in mesh in planetary gear unit 20, and output shaft 16 is turned at the speed. This is applied similarly in the case that output shaft 16 is locked by its braking means 22. Thus, two output shafts 16, 18 can be driven by a single power source 10, so that structure of the power take-off mechanism can be rendered compact.
