Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent cover deformations and peelings and reduce the negative friction at the junction part by covering the uncovered portion of the junction part of the double-covered pile in the construction field.
CONSTITUTION: In junctioning two piles doubly coated with a viscous resilient material on the outer surface constituting a slide layer 2 and with plastics on the layer 2 constituting a plastic layer 1, the upper end portion of the layers 1, 2 of the lower positioned pile 4 is cut at several places 9 on the periphery of the pile in the longitudinal direction. The strips 10 thus formed by the cutting are peeled. Then the lower positioned pile 4 and the upper positioned pile 3 are junctioned so that the tip end of the uncovered portion of the junction part 5 is overlapped on the lower end portion of the layers 1, 2 of the upper pile through the strips 10 and the uncovered portion is covered with the same layers respectively. Thus covered pile will never produce any deformations and peelings at the junction part and will also function to reduce the negative friction applied to the junction part.
