Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the effect of gas-liquid contact and the practicability of drawing out concentrated bubbles from a given height in an apparatus for separating and activating bubbles of dead water having high COD and BOD values with oxygen deficiency.
CONSTITUTION: While a particular stirring impeller 1 deposited at the bottom of a treating tank is rotated by means of a motor 6, air is blown in by self-suction or blowing through an air introducing pipe 2 the opening of which is positioned opposite said stirring impller 1, whereby bubbles are generated and dead water is activated by gas-liquid contact. A drawing-out duct 3 is arranged at the upper side of the tank so as to draw out concentrated bubbles. The concentrated bubbles drawn out from the duct 3 is introduced through a flexible hose 7 into a bubble-recovering device 4. The treatment of the concentrated bubble is carried out by means of the action of an exhauster 5 connected to the bubble-recovering device 4.
