Abstract

PURPOSE: Gas containing high concentration odor and harmful components is rapidly, effectively and safely cleaned to a harmless state at low cost.
CONSTITUTION: Gas containing high concentration odor and harmful components is contacted to cleaning solution containing transition metal and dispersed active carbon, and cleaned. The used cleaning solution is contacted to ozone-containing gas for regeneration. For example, in the cleaning tower 1, cleaning solution 17 is sprayed from the pipe 16 with nozzels onto the top perforated plate 5 to be flowed down to the bottom perforated plates 5b, 5c. Odor gas enters from the duct 3 to the bottom of the tower 1 and contacts cleaning solution 17, allowing odor components to be removed. The used cleaning soulution 17' enters the regeneration tower 7 through pump 8 and pipe 9 and is treated for regeneration by ozone fed to the bottom of the tower 7 through the pipe 11 with nozzles from the ozone generator 10.
