Abstract

PURPOSE: To measure automatically the degree of modulation by extracting a pulsatory flow by detecting a modulation waveform by an electric circuit and then by obtaining a carrier voltage and modulated-wave voltage from the pulsatory flow.
CONSTITUTION: A modulated signal from input terminal 1 is detected by high- frequency circuit 2 and then supplied to gain adjustment circuit 3, and carrier voltage (a) is extracted from the terminal of adjustment circuit 3 and supplied to 1st gate 12 and low-frequency linear detector 13. The alternating-current component of the pulsatory voltage supplied to low-frequency linear detector 13 is detected to obtain modulated-wave voltage (b). The value of this modulated-wave voltage (b) will be stored in arithmetic part 25 by way of 2nd gate circuit 14 and comparator circuit 18. Then, 1st gate 12 is opened by a gate control pulse from control circuit 15 to extract carrier voltage (a), which is stored in arithmetic part 25 via A/D converter 19, etc., and operation of b/a is carried out to display the degree of modulation at display unit 26. In this way, the degree of modulation can automatically be measured.
