Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture a coil of uniform thickness and raise the starting torque of an electric machine, by winding a conductor wire around a bobbin of elliptic cross section, pulling the bobbin out of the winding, flatly deforming the winding and cylindrically bending the flat winding.
CONSTITUTION: The wire 12 is wound around the bobbin 11 of elliptic cross section. The bobbin 11 is pulled out of the winding. The winding is flattened. The flattened winding is cylindrically bent so that both the end parts A, C of the winding are overlaped with each other. The coil 16 is thus manufactured. Since the entire peripheral part of the bobbin 11 is convex, the wire 12 can be rapidly wound. The thcikness of the coil 16 is uniform. Because the density of crossed magnetic flux of the coil is high, the starting torque of a DC motor made of the coil is strong.
