Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A piperidine deriavtive of formula I (R1 is H, methyl; R2 is H, lower alkyl, cycloaliphatic ring, phenyl; X is lower alkylene, phenyl-substituted lower alkylene) and its salt.
EXAMPLE: 1-(4-Piperidinyl)-3-methyl-hydrouracil hydrochloride.
USE: Synthetic intermediate of analgesics, antiphlogistics, psychotropic agents, cardiovasocular drugs, etc.
PROCESS: The objective compound I is prepared by (1) reacting a compound II with a compound III (R3 is H, lower alkyl; R4 is R3, phenyl; R5 is lower alkyl) or a compound IV (Y is active ester residue), (2) reacting the reaction product of (1) with an isocyanate of formula of R2NCO, and (3) debenzylating the resulting compound V.
