Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve combustion efficiency by detecting changes in flame ion current due to changes in the revolution rate of a burner motor and stabilizing the revolution rate in such a condition that the flame ion current is substantially at a peak value.
CONSTITUTION: With an operation switch 8 closed, a heater 15 is fed with current and a burner body is heated. With the temperature of the burner body has reached the fuel evaporation temperature, the combustion thermostat in a combustion thermostat circuit 25 closes and a burner motot 16 functions. The operations of the burner motor 16, pump 20, ignitor 18, and fan motor 11 as well as the time control of a prepurge or the like are conducted based on the program stored in an ROM 4. With a flame current over a specified value detected by a flame current circuit 24, the revolution rate of the burner motor 16 is changed, and stabilized in such a condition that substantially maximum flame current is detected, and the combustion is continued.
