Abstract

PURPOSE: To conduct favorable combustion and to improve thermal efficiency by changing burner motor revolution rate or damper opening degree according to intake air temperature so as to stabilize the gas concentration in exhaust gas to within a predetermined range.
CONSTITUTION: With switch 21 closed, a burner 12 is heated by heater 25; when the burner temperature has exceeded a predetermined temperature, burner motor 9, ignitor 29, and pump 16 work for ignition. With a flame sensed by flame detector circuit 31, the burner motor 9 and the pump 16 are operated continuously for combustion. When the combustion chamber 3 has been heated beyond a predetermined temperature, a fan motor 5 works to feed hot air into a room. A signal from an intake air temperature detector 14 is fed to an arithmetic unit 23, the output of which controls a burner motor control circuit 27 or a damper driving motor 33, thereby changing the revolution rate of the burner motor 9 or the damper opening degree.
