Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize the perfect hermetic structure for the disk pack by storing the contact stop type magnetic head and the rotary magnetic head positioning device, and at the same time to simplify the structure of the device by installing the dust remover inside the device. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic disk device features the exchange type structure, incorporating magnetic head 3 and rotary magnetic head positioning device 4. The carriage part of device 4 turns to perform positioning. The disk pack is linked to the driving device by only spindle pulley 7, linking joint 8 of the positioning device and data connector 10, thus performing the perfect dust removal. With turn of magnetic disk 1, the active pressure is applied to filter 6 provided at the back of device 4. As wind path 11 links to the center part of disk 1 from filter 6, the dust is removed through filter 6 within closed case 9 and via the negative pressure caused at the center part of disk 1.
