Abstract

PURPOSE: To make possilbe the structure which is low in height and is long in the transverse direction by disposing a hopper for replenishing magnetic toner to the surface of a non-magnetic cylinder in adjacency to the non-magnetic cylinder and having a means of occasionally replenishing the toner to this hopper.
CONSTITUTION: The electrostatic latent images formed on a photosensitive drum 8 in an exposure part 7 comes to the developing part p. A permanent magnet roll 5, a cylindrical sleeve 3 of non-magnetic material and guide rolls 9 at both end parts of the permanent magnet roll are coaxially held to a shaft 4 and revolve in the arrow direction. The magnetic toner 1 having been put in a toner cassette 11 is opened of its bottom cover 11' and is sent to a hopper 2c, from where it is supplied by a vane wheel 10 to the upper part R of the hopper, in which portion always a fixed amount of toner is being stored. Such construction results in not less amount of the toner to be stored and satisfactory supplying of the toner of poor fluidity, thus enabling the developing machine which is low in the overall height and is long in the transverse direction to be obtained.
