Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the mass of toner from being rolled and enable distinct images to be obtained by letting a sleeve revolve reversely from the revolving directions of the electrostatic latent images on a photosensitive drum and yet letting a permanent magnet revolve faster the sleeve in the same direction as the sleeve and providing a toner image defining member.
CONSTITUTION: A photosensitive drum 1 revolves in the arrow g direction. A sleeve 2 is revolved in the arrow a direction, reverse from the photosensitive drum 1. If a permanent magnet 8 is revolved in the arrow b direction, faster than the sleeve 2, the toner 8 is conveyed in the arrow c direction. Even if toner mass is made in a toner pool 91, the revolution actuating power upon the toner mass 92 is larger than the revolving actuating power of the permanent magnet 8 and therefore the toner mass moves in the direction reverse from the arrow c, collides against a toner defining member 15 and is thereby disintegrated. Damaging of the electrostatic latent image surface by the rolled toner mass is obviated and the distinct images of excellent medium contrast may be obtained.
