Abstract

PURPOSE: To catch and collect the mixture of hydrogen and sulfuric acid mist generated from cathode, by providing covering membrane between Al member of the material to be treated of anode and cathode and also, providing exhaust hood on the upper part, at the time of carrying out electrolytic treatment of Al member in diluted sulfuric acid water solution.
CONSTITUTION: Electrolytic treatment is carried out in the electrolytic bath 1 using the Al member 4 as anode and diluted sulfuric acid water solution as electrolyte. The covering membrane 5 having superior chemical resistance and no hindrance to electrical charge of liquid, is arranged between the anode 4 and the cathode 3 and the exhaust hood 6 is provided with the upper part of the cathode and is connected with the purifying tower 9 and exhaust fan 10 by the duct 8. Also, the fan 11 for opening and shutting is provided with the upper part of the hood 6. Hydrogen gas produced on the surface of the cathode 3 during electrolytic operation, is discharged in the atmosphere by the fan 10 after passing with sulfuric acid mist of electrolytic bath through the hood 6 and the duct 8 and purifying at the tower 9.
