Abstract
PURPOSE: To curve and form roof plates to suitable curvatures and radii through rapid and simple operations by providing the forming rolls of final positions decendably from the contact line and the forming rolls before the final position elevatably.
CONSTITUTION: Slide plates 17, 17 are suitably lowered with respect to side plates 13 by suitably turning the level adjust bolts 52, 52 of the 10th, 11th upper and lower forming rolls 10a, 10b, 11a, 11b to bring the contact point of each roll lower than the contact line g. Next, upper and lower forming rolls 25a, 25b are lowered by lowering slide plates 26 with respect to the side plates 13 in the similar manner to set the contact point thereof so as to position on the segment connecting the contact point of the 9th upper and lower forming rolls 9a, 9b and the contact point of the 10th upper and lower forming rolls 10a, 10b having already been lowered. In this way, the roof plate is curved and formed to a suitable curvature and radius in the lengthwise direction by the 10th, 11th upper and lower forming rolls 10a, 10b, 11a, 11b.
