CONSTITUTION: An alloy comprising 8W17% Al (excluding 8%), 4W16% Si, 0.2W15% Cr, the balance being Fe is an alloy of high wear resistance and high permeability. Addn. to the alloy as sub-components of 1W5% C, 0.1W5% Ti, Ge, Cu, Nb, Ta, and 0.1W5% Co, 0.2W2% Mo, W, Hf, and 0.2W2% Zr, 0.01W1% rare earth elements, 0.01W6% in total further increases the wear resistance.
