Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce secondary winding of an induction motor by copper or copper alloy in high mass production by inserting the secondary winding formed by a plate hitting process or powdered metal process into core slots and further inserting magnetic wedges into the slots.
CONSTITUTION: Secondary winding 32 integral with a slot bar 32a and end rings 32b, 32c is formed by material having predetermined intrinsic resistance by a plate hitting process or powder metal process, and is press-fitted into an iron core 31 to thereby manufacture the winding of an induction motor having an axial air gap. Magnetic wedges 34 are inserted into the slots 32 of the core 31 required. Thus, it can inexpensively form the winding of copper or copper alloy in high mass production without casting.
