Abstract

PURPOSE: To accomplish a welding of a thermoplastic sheet without leaving any trace due to the welding on the surface, by achieving the welding two sheets of sheet material including a thermoplastic resin sheet to be put on another by permitting a rotable heat board to approach through a spacer to them.
CONSTITUTION: The welding device comprises a fixed board 12 carried on a lower portion 11a of a base 11, a heat board 15 sustained through a hinge 14 on a support member 13 passing through an upper portion 11b of the base, opposed to the fixed board 12, a sapcer 16 attached to the heat board 15, and an air cylinder and piston coupled to the heat board 15 and for controlling a travelling of the thermal board 15 near or far from the fixed board. In order to achieve the welding for two sheets of sheet material which at least one of which is a thermoplastic resin, the thermoplastic resin sheet 19 is put on the fixed board 12 and the other sheet material 20 is put thereon, and subsequently, the heat board 15 is pressed to the sheet materials during a predetermined time to accomplish the welding.
