Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a burner on which gases of various kinds are applicable by a mechanism wherein an inner cylinder having a primary burner at its tip is enveloped by an outer cylinder having auxiliary air intake ports on the lower circumference thereof and a secondary burner at its tip, and the burning range of separated flames is expanded widely.
CONSTITUTION: Outer cylinder 13 is constructed in the manner that, a secondary burner 14 is provided at its tip while auxiliary air intake ports 15 permitting the passage of small amount of air are formed on the lower circumference thereof. Inner cylinder 12 has gas nozzle 18 at its bottom opening, while a primary air intake port 17 is provided on the same wall above the nozzle 18, and the tip of the inner cylinder 12 is made as a primary burner 16 being located at a position inbetween the secondary burner 14 and the auxiliary air intake port 15. The primary flame F1 at the burner 16 consists of an inner flame F'1 and an outer flame F"1, where the outer flame F"1 protects the primary flame F1 from being blown off, and the burning range under the condition of the flame being separated into the primary flame F1 and the secondary flame F2 is expanded widely. Diameter of the auxiliary air intake port 15 is determined in order to make the burning range as: its speed gradient=7×102-4×103sec-1; and its equivalent ratio=1.1-2.0.
