Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve durability, a shaft sealing equipment to seal the shaft supplying steam into the gland seal of the geothermal heat turbine, by carrying out sealing operation by steam in which there is appreciable or no corrosive gas or fine rock pieces.
CONSTITUTION: In a plant to supply the steam to the turbine 3 with a main steam pipe 2, separating steam from mixture of steam supplied from steam wel and hot water with an air water separator 1, hot water from the steam well S is led into a flash equipment 8 from the conduit 7, a part of hot water is converted into steam in the equipment, the rest is abandoned through the drain pipe 9. Steam generated by the flash equipment 8 is led into every galnd portion 5, 5 through a shaft sealing steam pipe 11 and a control valve 6, shaft sealing operation is performed at the portions. Flashing steam from the flash equipment 8 is supplied to the turbine lower pressure section with a low pressure steam pipe 12 for using as power.
