Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a cushioning material having improved viscoelasticity, by adding a specific amount of a tackifier substance and a small amount of gelatinizing agent to a rubber latex with stirring, and by solidifying the mixture on standing.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 100 parts by wt. of a rubber latex is added to (B) 50W400 parts by wt. of a thickening substance, e.g. liquid paraffin, and (C) a small amount of a gelatinizing agent, e.g. 3W5 parts by wt. of sodium silicofluoride, with agitation, allowed to stand, and solidified to give the desired cushioning material.
EFFECT: Free from problems of decubiti and lumbagos even in use for a long time due to the load dispersion according to the movement of the body.
