Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a cushioning material having softness and improved viscoelasticity, by foaming a blend of a specific urethane prepolymer with a relatively large amount of water.
CONSTITUTION: A polyol containing 15% or more of ethylene oxide is reacted with an organic isocyanate to form a urethane prepolymer having terminal NCO groups. 100 parts by wt. of the prepolymer is blended with 70 parts by wt. or more, preferably 150W450 parts by wt. of water, and, if necessary, a silicone oil, a catalyst, and a filler. The resulting blend is foamed to give the desired cushioning material.
EFFECT: Free from care of decubiti even in use for a long time.
