Abstract
PURPOSE: An adhesive composition for metal that is prepared by mixing polyvinyl butyral resin of high polymerization degree, m-cresol-modified phenolic resin, epoxy resin, and organic solvent, thus having high heat resistance, adhesion, electric characteristics.
CONSTITUTION: (a) A polyvinyl butyral resin of 2,000W3,000 polymerization degree, (b) a m-cresol-modified phenolic resin that is prepared by reaction of a mixture of phenol and 5W15wt%, based on the phenol, of m-cresol with formaldehyde in the presence of an ammonia catalyst at a molar ratio of 1.3W1.5:1 formaldehyde to phenols, (c) an epoxy resin, and (d) an organic solvent as acetone, butanol, toluene, etc., are blended so that the content of the polyvinyl butyral resin becomes 8W15 parts by wt per 100 parts of the composition.
