Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare regenerated amber which resembles natural amber in appearance, economically, by curing a mixture of amber having low fossilization degree, copal, or colophonium with an unsaturated polyester resin.
CONSTITUTION: 100 Parts by weight of an unsaturated polyester resin is mixed with pref. 30W60 parts of amber having low fossilization degree, copal or colophonium; and the mixture is molten and stirred to obtain a homogeneous composition. The composition is added with a curing agent such as peroxides, etc. and cast to prepare the objective regenerated amber.
