Abstract

PURPOSE: To exchange heat without loss and to reduce the pressure loss of a heat exchanger without heat expansion of a heat transfer tube by mounting a skirt in the gap between the inner wall of the body of the exchanger and the tube and winding a wire around heat transfer tube group.
CONSTITUTION: A skirt 15 conically opened with respect to the flowing direction in the body 10 of a heat exchanger is mounted on the outer periphery of a heat transfer tube group at any position of the heat transfer tube 11 in its axial direction. The skirt 15 is formed by rounding a thin plate with a cylindrical portion and a conical portion. The cylindrical portion is bent along the radial outer periphery of the heat transfer tube group. The conical portion is disposed between the inner wall of the body and the tube group in the gap therebetween with a plurality of slits provided peripherally to thereby provide a spring effect. Accordingly, the end of the conical portion makes contact along with the inner wall of the body of the exchanger. Wires 16 are fixed at the end to a tubular plate 12 to be wound at any pitch to the tubular plate disposed oppositely thereto on the outer periphery of the tube group.
