Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent malfunction by integrating the difference between the welding voltage and reference voltage and comparing it with the output voltage of the torch position detector and driving the torch according to the difference.
CONSTITUTION: When the relay contact CR is closed, the output of the welding voltage detector 4 is compared with the output of the reference voltage setting 5 through the comparison integrater 8. Then, the difference voltage between the two voltages is integrated and compared with the output of the welding torch position detector 7 by the second comparator 9 and supplied to the electric motor 601 after amplified by the amplifier 10. The electric motor 601 rotates in the direction to reduce the output of the second comparator 9 and drives the welding torch 2 and stops at a point where the two inputs of the comparator 9 equilibrate. When the relay contact CR is opened, the operational amplifier 803 stops integrating action and maintains the output immediately before opening of the relay contact CR. Accordingly, it is enough to make the relay contact CR close between the start and end of the welding.
