Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the imposition of burdens not less than its requirement to filter elements, by opening a cylindrical regulator valve opened and closed by oil pressure in pressure not less than fixed oil pressure by mounting said valve to a body of this lubricating oil filter of an engine. CONSTITUTION:An inflow opening 31 communicated with an oil pump not shown in the figure and an outflow opening 30 communicated with an oil pan not shown in the figure are formed to a body 21 of a lubricating oil filter 10 building in filter elements 23, and lubricating oil is discharged from the outflow opening 30 through the first reflux chamber 28 from the second ringed chamber 29. The body 21 is provided with the first and second side holes 41, 42, a cylindrical regulator valve 20 pushed by means of a spring 38 is arranged, the valve 20 is left moved when the oil pressure of the chamber 28 becomes not less than fixed value, the both side holes 41, 42 are communicated with the outflow opening 30 and a by-path inflow port 35 communicated with a by-path filter not shown in the figure with a by-path outflow port 34, and oil bypasses the filter and is flowed out.
