Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an inexpensive and portable character input system which can confirm an input character coded into a number in the form of a character and provides batch confirmation and collation of several character codes as a group of characters.
CONSTITUTION: This system consists of CRT unit 1 which has stuck mark film 2 of a transparent film with several characters 3 written and window 4 for a look at character codes displayed on a screen, keyboard 5 with number keys 8 by which characters are coded and inputted, recorder 7 which records inputted character codes, and controller 6 which dispalys bright points on film 2 at positions of input characters 3. In addition, keyboard 5 is equipped with call key 13, return key 9 and collation key 11. In taking a look at characters 3 displayed on film 2 in dots, an operator make can sure of whether characters have been inputted correctly and shapes of character codes through window 4. Therefore, there is no need to use an expensive monitor printer such as a "kanji" character and a portable unit is realized.
