Abstract

PURPOSE: To draw up document accurately and efficiently by making operation through using the numerical values which are displayed beforehand in a display part, in a numerical operating device for a display image plane.
CONSTITUTION: The numerical values to be operated are displayed in the display part. When an operator fits in the cursor with the head of the numerical values to be operated by operating a cursor moving key and pushes an operation key, one character at the head of the numerical values to be operated is set from an image plane buffer to a register for the numbers to be operated. Further, a cursor position control part successively moves the cursor to set the numerical values to be operated, successively character by character, into said register and stops the cursor upon reading a blank column. Next, the operator moves the cursor to the next numerical values to be operated and keys an equal key, then the operated numbers are set, character by character, to an operated number register from the image plane buffer, and upon ending of setting of the operated numerical values, operations are carried out and the results of the operations are set in a result register, and are sent to the image plane buffer which displays these in the prescribed positions of the image plane. Hence, the drawing up document is accurately accomplished because there are no key input errors or the like.
