Abstract

PURPOSE: To extend the serviceable life of a primary recorder with a simple structure, and to remove a remaining toner, by approaching a roller to the surface of the recorder after toner image transfer to transfer the remaining toner from the surface to the roller by electrostatic force.
CONSTITUTION: In place of a conventional high speed rotary brush, roller 8 is provided near the surface of primary recorder 1 to remove the toner remaining on the surface. Roller 8 is charged with voltage source 11 to transfer the toner from recorder 1. The toner transferred to roller 8 is scraped down with doctor blade 9 from roller 8 and collected in toner box 10.
