Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare the title elastomer curable at room temperature and having high processability and excellent mechanical properties such as hardness, strength, elasticity, modulus, and elongation, by reacting a specific polyfunctional amine with a plyisocyanate.
CONSTITUTION: The objective elastomer is prepared by reacting (A) an amine compound of formula (R is n-valent polyalkylene, polyalkylene ether or polyalkylene polyester, having a molecular weight of ≥200; n is 2, 3 or 4) with (B) a polyisocyanate such as 2,4-tolylene diisocyanate, e.g. at 25W90°C. The pot life of the reaction mixture is 3.5W45 minutes.
