Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a liquid fuel combusting apparatus, which is capable of controlling combustion rate with ease, automatically keeping the air-fuel ratio substantially constant over a wide range of combustion rate, and maintaining excellent condition of combustion in the manner not affected by external wind or the like.
CONSTITUTION: A liquid fuel combusting apparatus of this invention comprises a fuel supplying section including fuel supply pipe 1 for supplying fuel from a fuel tank (not shown in the drawing) to fuel evaporating section 5 to a required level of the same, an air supplying section consisting of air supply pipe 2, damper 3 and an air passage constituting container, and a fuel combusting section. This fuel combusting section includes a primary combustion space 7 having, if necessary, a flame keeping plate 8, in which an outlet port and primary air ports 12, 13 open, and a secondary combustion space 10 connected to said primary combustion space 7 via restricted portion 9, in which secondary air ports 14 open. With such an arrangement, combustion rate can be controlled by changing air supply rate by means of damper 3 in the air supplying section.
