Abstract

PURPOSE: To accurately measure the potential distribution of a fluorescent lamp in a simple operation by connecting an integrating circuit with a conductive ring which is mounted movably upon the outer circumference of the glass tube of the lamp.
CONSTITUTION: The glass tube 2 of a fluorescent lamp 5 is wound with a conductive foil to produce a conductive foil ring 6, which is connected with an integrating circuit 9 which is composed of a register 7 and a capacitor 8 so that the integrated output is caught by an oscilloscope 10 thereby to measure the potential distribution. Since this output generates the waveforms proportional to the tube voltage, the instant value of the integrated output is compared with that of the tube voltage in the same phase thereby to generate the potential at the ring point. As a result, the potential distribution of the fluorescent lamp can be measured highly accurately by a simple operation.
