Abstract
PURPOSE: To measure with a high accuracy the airtightness of measurement object containers in terms of the difference between the output voltage corresponding to the initial quantity of air, of a differential transformer, and the output voltage of said differential transformer in which air has been enclosed.
CONSTITUTION: A pressure chamber 16 is connected to a container to be measured, and an air cylinder 11 connected to a fixed pressure source for airtightness measurement and a differential transformer for detecting the transfer distance of a piston rod 21 for said air cylinder 11 are provided. The corresponding output voltage of said differential transformer to the initial quantity of air that is obtained when air is enclosed in said container is held by a condenser, and the airtightness of said container is measured in terms of the difference between the output voltage of said differential transformer in which air is enclosed and the voltage held by said condenser.
