Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate the measuring error of a probe due to temperature variation by judging the liquid level at the substantially same output level of a secondary coil at the maximum or minimum level.
CONSTITUTION: There are arranged in a probe 3 a primary coil 4, which is supplied with an electric current from a power source 6, and a secondary coil 5 which is wound on the primary coil 4 such that it is connected with a comparator 11 through a transformer 7, an amplifier 8 and a rectifier 9. The intersection C between the output signals L1 due to the change in the liquid level at the temperature T0 of the coil 5 and the output signals L2 due to the change in the liquid level at the temperature T1 is presumed to be the set level of the comparator 11. As a result, the voltage corresponding to the set level is compared by a comparator 11 with the signals rectified by the rectifier 9 so that the liquid levels "high" and "low" are generated and displayed in a display 13 if the rectified signals are lower and higher than the set level, respectively. As a result, even if the positions of the coils 4 and 5 are moved up and down due to the thermal expansion of the probe 3, the position for detecting the liquid level is not influenced to meter the liquid level in hihg accuracy.
