Abstract

PURPOSE: To keep a space at comfortable temperature and humidity by operating an air conditioner by use of the operation signal of either a room thermostat or a humidity detector and stopping the air conditioner by use of the stop signal of the room thermostat.
CONSTITUTION: A room thermostat consisting of a thermistor 4A, resistors 4B, 4C, and 4D, comparator 4F, hysteresis resistor 4E, and reverse-current preventing diode 4H detects the temperature in the space air-conditioned by an air conditioner 7 and generates an operation signal or stop signal for the air conditioner 7. A humidity detector comprises: a resistor 2B which converts the resistance value of a humidity sensor 2A into a voltage; an amplifier 2C; a rectifier circuit consisting of a diode 2D, resitors 2E and 2G, and a capacitor 2F; and a comparator 3C which compares the output of the rectifier circuit with the predetermined detection levels determined by resistors 3A and 3B. The humidity detector generates a signal for operating the air conditioner 7 when the detected humidity is below a predetermined value. By this constitution, the temperature can be kept within predetermined limits, and the humidity below a predetermined value.
