Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the retention and scaling of mists and dusts at the lower end of the elements, and to improve the collection efficiency for these mists and dusts, by inclining the lower end of the compositional element of the demister being arranged in the gas passage.
CONSTITUTION: The demister elements 50 of the Euroform type for example, are arranged parallelly to each other so as to incline their lower ends to one side. Mists and dusts collected from the gas stream 2 by the elements 50 flow downward along the elements 50 and arrive at the lower end; hereafter, mists and dusts flow along the lower end of the elements 50 in the direction of the inclination (towards the column wall 1 as shown by the arrow 51). Hereby, the collected mists and dusts are quickly separated from one end of the lower end of elements, so that the formation of the scale is restricted and the long term continuous operation becomes possible.
