Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a block for constituting plantable retaining wall, by arranging a multiplicity of apertures laterally of concrete board having upper and lower legs at the upper and the lower ends on the back surface.
CONSTITUTION: Upper and lower legs 2, 2' are provided at the upper and the lower end portions on the back surface of concrete board 1, and they are formed respectively with a plurlity of connecting holes 3, 3' for connecting lower leg 2' of upper block and upper leg 2 of lower block. The retaining wall constituting board 1 is formed with apertures 5 arranged in a required number of rows, and a planting rack 6 projected upward at a small angle is provided at the lower portion of each row of apertures 5. In constructing retaining wall with these retaining boards 1, these blocks are coupled laterally by fitting projection 7 into recess 8 and the lowermost block is erected on the normal plane. Then, upper blocks are superposed successively on the lowermost block and they are fixed firmly in place by means of bolts or the like extended through the connecting holes 3, 3'.
