Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to simultaneously measure different substances contained in a sample by using a plurality of enzyme electrodes having fixed enzyme.
CONSTITUTION: Electrodes 1W4 having four fixed enzymes are arranged in a constant temperature bath 6 which is formed with a sample inlet 5. There arises a large difference between the time for which the dissolved oxygen is consumed by the reaction on the enzyme electrodes having the fixed enzyme films and the time for which the dissolved oxygen is consumed in the system. As a result, if this is used, the different substances contained therein can be simultaneously measured with the use of one sample. Since the reduction in the dissolved oxygen in the system, the symmetric electrodes are placed, when it is not desired to have the dissolved oxygen changed, thereby to erase the change in the dissolved oxygen in the system.
