Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a recording system requiring no chart paper by combining optical spot type tracing means with a preset recording surface, recording means and erasing means.
CONSTITUTION: An endless film member 2, which is made of a hydrophobic material such as polyethylene or polyorephine, is extended between cylindrical members 5 and 6. The film member 2 is assembled with erasing means 13 of felt or the like and with recording means containing water-soluble or solvent-mixed type ink such that it is made movable by a potentiometer 10, a servo-motor 11 and a wire 12. The film member 2 is further assembled with light spot type tracing means 14 which is equipped with a light source attached to a truck 16 made movable along a guide rail 17. Thus, a certain kind of physical phenomenon is recorded in the endless continuous recording surface and is traced by an optical spot illuminating system so that the information record chart under an abnormal condition is suitably detected by and stored in an electric computer and then is erased with the information record chart under a normal condition.
