Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively convey toner powder without modifying its characteristic and enabling the same to be reused by the constitution comprising providing a toner powder deposition preventing means in the transfer path of transferring the toner powder removed and conveyed from the surface of a latent image holder to a developing means. CONSTITUTION:The toner powder T' which is swept off by a cleaning blade 13 and falls by gravity from the surface of a photosensitive drum 1 is conveyed into a toner collecting box 19 by a screw conveyor 16. Two pipes 11, 12 are communicated between the toner collecting box 19 and the developer mixing chamber 6a of a developing device D and an endless coil spring belt 9 is inserted into these pipes 11, 12 in the state where it is spanned between pulleys 18, 8. As the pulley 18 is rotated by a gear G, the coil spring belt 9 circulates and turns between the toner collecting box 19 and developing device D, by which the toner powder held between the coils is conveyed. This toner falls through the opening A above the developer mixing chamber 6a and is reused.
