Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the error compensation of a recording system by inhibiting the selection of a fixed equalizer corresponding to a tape kind by closing an AND gate by a recording-system variable equalizer control signal.
CONSTITUTION: Closing tape selector switches 11W13 corresponding to the kind of a tape to be used selects AND gates A1 to A3 closed by a high-level control signal from control circuit 3 and fixed equalizer 5 corresponding to the kind of the tape assigned through circuit 3 by a relatively-high level signal. Next, a reference signal is recorded and reproduced to put variable equalizer 4 under feedback control through circuit 3 compensating a recording system and the control signal of circuit 3 is inverted to close gates A1WA3. Therefore, equalizer 5 is not switched even if switches 11W13 are operated in the compensation of the recording system by equalizer 4, thereby preventing the error compensation of the recording system.
