Abstract

PURPOSE: To shorten a transmission time by storing information from a sampling part in a storage means simultaneously with direct transmission of information at the first transmission and transmitting contents of the storage means at the second transmission and succeeding transmissions when multipleaddress communication of an original to plural stations.
CONSTITUTION: In case of original transmission, control part 34, switching circuit 33 and picture memory 32 output start signal S1 to picture sampling part 31, selection signal S3 to output picture information S4 from the sampling part, and start signal S2 for write respectively. Then, information S4 is transmitted from modulation transmission control part 35 through circuit 33 and is written in memory 32 simultaneously. In case that the same original contents are transmitted again continuously, control part 34 outputs selection signal S3 to set memory 32 to a read mode and set circuit 33 to a mode where output signal S5 from memory 32 is outputted, and further, control part 34 outputs start signal S2 of memory 32. Then, picture information stored in memory 32 is transmitted from control part 35 through circuit 33. As a result, the wasteful time for transmission is eliminated, so that the use efficiency of the facsimile unit and lines can be enhanced.
