Abstract
PURPOSE:To make a flow of the melting powder uniform in order to secure the cooling capacity of a casting piece, by changing periodically within a fixed range the oscillation frequency of the ultrasonic wave vibrator which provides vibration of the mold. CONSTITUTION:Vibration of the mold is detected by the electrostriction elements 10 for detecting vibration, which are installed inside of the diaphragm 2 and the mold side 3. Frequency and amplitude of the vibration are calculated by receiving the aforesaid signal by the vibration detection processing circuit 11. This vibration frequency is inputted to the frequency regulator 12, is compared with the value from the frequency setting unit 14, the adjusting signal corresponding to its deviation is outputted to the transmitter 16, and the vibration frequency is controlled automatically. On the other hand, the calculated vibration amplitude is inputted to the power regulator 13, is compared with the setting amplitude, the adjusting signal corresponding to its deviation is outputted to the transmitter 16, and the vibration amplitude is controlled automatically. By the aforementioned method, the melting powder flows uniformly to the clearance between the inner wall of the mold and the solid shell of the casting piece, and since the drawing resistance is reduced, the casting piece of satisfactory surface and quality can be obtained.
