Abstract

PURPOSE: The title resin composition for thermosetting acrylic coating powder, having improved anti-blocking properties, and flexibility, comprising a specific acrylic copolymer, and a dibasic acid.
CONSTITUTION: A composition comprising (A) 80W95 parts by wt. of a copolymer having a weight-average molecular weight of 12,000W70,000 and the glass transition temperature of 30W80°C, obtained by copolymerizing (a) 30wt% or more of one or more types of monomers, e.g. ethyl acrylate, of formula I (R1 is H or CH3; R2 is 1W14C alkyl or cycloalkyl group) with (b) 5W30wt% of one or more types of monomers, e.g. glycidyl acrylate, of formula II (R3 and R4 are H or CH3), and (c) 0W65wt% or more of one or more types of copolymerizable monomers, e.g. styrene, and (B) 5W20 parts by wt. of one or more types of dibasic acids of formula III (n is an integer 9W14).
