Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent from a loss of machining time and prevent from impairing an electrode and the like by permitting to detect immediately an abnormal condition like as generation of deposited-carbon. CONSTITUTION:A electric spark machine where an electrode 1 is fed to the machine allowing a switch emement 6 to change-over by using a pulse transmitted from a control circuit 12 to produce an electric discharge across an electrode 1 and a workpiece 2 is provide with the an electric discharge condition discrimination unit 11 which discriminates the processing condition by a presence of the electric discharge when conducting switching element 9, and provided with a detection device where the detection discrmination of an abnormal condition like as the generation of deposited-carbon with a certain condition of specific clearance thereof. Namely, the electrode 1 moves once upward to operate a reciprocating motion which is lowered by a set stroke. When the downward speed thereof is completely decreased, the comparator produces the output allowing the discrimination unit 11 to operate by turning reversely the RS vice table element 18 to a set condition.
