Abstract
PURPOSE: To secure the recording featuring an easy-to-see defective position by controlling the position of the recording needle in accordance with the rotary position and speed of the roll for tracing of the flaw detection locus recorded on the recording paper and then recording the defect via the ultrasonic probe which has the shift of a fixed speed in the roll axle direction.
CONSTITUTION: Roll 1 receives the spiral scanning by ultrasonic probe 8 which shifts along the outer circumference of rotating roll 1 and in parallel to the axle of roll 1. With turn of roll 1 every fixed angle, rotary position detector 5 generates pulses. And pulse generator 4 generates pulses in the cycle according to the rotary speed of roll 1. These pulse raws are processed at signal process circuit 12, and pulse distributor 14 generates the orthogonal double coordinate pulse signal corresponding to the flaw detection locus to control the position of the recording needle. The recording needle traces flaw detection locus 19 recorded on recording paper 17 which has the synchronous shift with probe 8 to record the defect on locus 19 via the discharge and the like caused by the defect signal or the like which passed through probe 8. As a result, the defect recording is ensured, in which the defective position can be detected at a glance.
