Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a lamp which is high in its color temperature at high efficiency by forming a black coating coated on the external surface of the electroconductive tube which is protruded to the exterior of a light emitting tube.
CONSTITUTION: Sodium, metal for buffer gas and rare gas for starting are sealed into a light emitting tube 5 provided with electrodes 7 at both ends, an electroconductive tube 6 which connects anf fixes the electrodes 7 is protruded to the exterior of the light emitting tube 5 so that the coldest point of the light emitting tube 5 can be formed by coating a black coating 8 on the external surface of the part of the electroconductive tube 6 which is protruded to the exterior of the light emitting tube 5. This facilitates to obtain a lamp which is excellent in the efficiency, and high in the color temperature by rising the temperature at the coldest point.
