Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a method for obtaining a plurality of copies by a dry process at high speed, by forming an image on the surface of a substrate such as paper with a dielectric, transferring an image charge to the surface of an insulating material contacted to the image, developing the image with toner, and transferring it.
CONSTITUTION: Master (original plate) 2 is wound around plate cylinder 1 and insulating material 4 is wound around cylinder 3. Toner 6 is supplied with developing roller 5, and image receiving paper 7 is sent through feed roller 10 and conveying rollers 11 along corona charger 8 and copied 13 through fixing rollers 9. On the other hand, an image mainly composed of a dielectric is formed on a base surface to form master 2. Paper, a metallic plate, a synthetic resin plate, etc. are used for the base. Insulating material 4 is contacted to master 2 and stripped from it to obtain an electrostatic latent image on its surface 4, and this image is developed with toner 6 and transferred to form copy 13. Master 2 itself is not scratched, and plain paper is used for the image receiving paper, permitting a plurality of copies to be obtained by a dry process with ease at low price and high speed.
