Abstract

PURPOSE: To repair damaged part in a hot condition without stopping the operation of blast furnace perfectly, by exposing the damaged part in the furnace by carrying out reducing operation and providing the support and arm of repairing apparatus freely rotatable up and down from the furnace top and then, blowing amorphous refractory material from the nozzle of the tip end of the arm.
CONSTITUTION: The damaged part 23 is exposed by carrying out reducing operation of blast furnace damaged the inner lining. The guide frame 1 of repairing apparatus is placed on the opening 2 of the furnace and the sideways travelling truck 4 is freely moved by wheel on the frame 1. The arm support 5 freely capable of expansion and contraction, composed of the inner cylinder 5a and the outer cylinder 5b, is attached on the truck 4 and the arm 6 provided the blowing nozzle 7 at the tip end, is supported so as to rotate the arm freely and to change the angle freely by the stretching body 20. The nozzle 7 is placed just in front of the part 23 by the movement of the truck, expansion and contraction of the support 5, rotation of the arm 6 and alteration of the upper and lower angle and the part 23 is repaired blowing amorphous refractory material against the part 23 from the nozzle 7.
