Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the freezing of the water passage by enabling water to flow without increasing flow rate regardless of change in the water pressure with automatic opening of an antifreeze valve of the water passage when the temperature falls down close to the freezing point.
CONSTITUTION: While the hot water apparatus is out of operation in the winter season, so to speak, the hot water faucet is closed with the main plug of the apparatus left open, as the temperature of the outdoor air falls down close to the freezing of the water circuit, a thermosensitive element 26 of a low temperature water flow valve 21 reduces in the volume immediately before the freezing. This displaces a diaphragm 27 to start separation of a valve in linkage therewith from a valve seat 24 and water runs from a nozzle 23 and drained out through a valve drain 28. The flow rate herein is controlled to the minimum for preventing the freezing of the piping system by automatically adjusting the valve seat 24 of the valve 25 under the influence of the temperature of the outdoor air on the water flow valve 21 and the water temperature transmitting to the thermosensitive element 26 through a package case.
